Failing to Provide Driver Details

Where you have received a notice of intended prosecution, it is probably the case that you have been identified as the registered keeper of a vehicle that has been involved in the commission of an offence.

If you were not the driver of the vehicle, then you cannot and should not be held liable for the alleged offence. However, as the registered keeper of the vehicle, you are legally obliged to identify the driver of a vehicle when it is alleged the driver has committed an offence.
